Maia Parish is a Napa, Oregon, and Denver - based sommelier, wine writer, wine educator, wine judge, award-winning events producer, consultant and momtrepreneur. She owns and operated The Wine Suite LLC, Parish Media LLC, and Parish Mobile Notary Now. Maia produces wine educated inspired events. Her wine writing includes stories on wine, winemakers, and the intersection of race, pay equity, and food passions. She holds a WSET Intermediate Level Two Certification in Wine and Spirits Education Trust and is currently pursuing her Certified Specialist of Wine ( CSW ) with the Society of Wine Educators and retaking the WSET Advanced Level Three Certification.
Maia is a contributor of Black Wine Professionals, Battonage Forum Mentor, Wine Judge for the highly acclaimed Denver International Wine Competition and Drink Pink Vino Competition.
Maia is a Contributing writer for VinePair, the world’s largest online drinks platform and 5280 Magazine. Maia is the recipient of the Battonage Scholarship, The Culinary Institute of America’s Summit for Sommeliers and Beverage Professionals, and of recipient of the 2019 People’s Choice for Wine Experience of the year with the Diversity in Wine Awards for Night in Wakanda. She is an opinionated foodie, mother of Ms. Ross, budding entrepreneur, amateur skater, Tinn queen, tiny house enthusiast, former caterer, Human Resources Manager, and Broadcaster. She is a Denver native with ties in Washington DC and Maryland.
